Professor PING LIMING started music study since his childhood. He became the band chief when he was only 17 years old. He graduated from Henan University in China and started his teaching career there. Later he learnt chorus conduction from his master, a famous Chinese conductor Mr. Qiu Li, in China Central Conservatory of Music and China Central Orchestra in Beijing. He both conducted on the stage and taught in the University.
He is not only an active conductor in the arena, but also a music educator deeply loved by the students. He has deep knowledge and experience in chorus conducting, musical instruments playing, song writing, music teaching and school management for more than 40 years. He is also one of the editors of college and universities textbook.
He presided over the national and provincial research projects and he has published nearly 100 papers and music works.
He is both music director and conductor in many choral groups in China. He has been appointed as visiting professor and consultant by many universities and art groups.
He conducted over 100 orchestras and choirs in international and domestic major performances and competitions where he has received more than 100 international and domestic awards.
Prof. Ping is also actively involved in the planning and development of chorus association and chorus team. He laid foundation of China Normal University Choral Association, Henan Province Chorus Association, Zhaoqing City Choral Association and other social groups.
He formed dozens of choir teams, including Beijing Teachers Choir, Henan University Choir and Zhaoqing University Choir in different cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Zhuhai, Zhaoqing, Zhongshan, Kaifeng and Pingdingshan. He has made such a outstanding contributions to the choral conductor education and the development of chorus itself.
